Description

The Design Project Manager focuses on streamlining project management, optimizing resource allocation, and fostering strategic alignment within the Product Design sub department. While working under the Product Management department umbrella, the Design Project Manager will partner with Product leaders and individual contributors, enhancing collaboration with leaders and individual contributors with the ultimate goal of improving design quality and delivery. 


RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Play an integral role in the Product Design initiatives and ability to operate effectively at scale. 
•    Responsible for ensuring proper communication and organization of project timelines and due dates, resource allocation, and blockers/dependencies impacting project completion. 
•    Following the strategic alignment of initiatives among product leaders, the Design Project Manager will execute the implementation of best practices and/or procedures.
•    Coach teams towards optimal performance by implementing best practices and ensuring alignment and balance between stakeholders.
•    Track, manage, remove, and/or escalate impediments to design initiatives. 
•    Emphasizes  process improvements, team dynamics, reporting and design progress. 
•    Tracks team maintenance and workflows frequently to provide accurate and consistent reporting to leadership. 
•    Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • 2+ years' experience technical project management, or digital design production.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Proficient interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various departments and influence stakeholders.

  • Extremely detail oriented.

  • Self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
