POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Talent & OD is responsible for leading the evolution and execution of a portfolio of organization-wide Sales initiatives and solutions for growing all levels of leaders and teams across the enterprise in the Sales function. This role will lead a team of talent professionals focused primarily on developing the Sales portfolio that includes curation of content (all modalities), internally developed onboarding programs, business initiatives, and continuous Sales development. This team is responsible for stakeholder partnerships and creating resources to meet the needs of the evolving Sales organization. This role is responsible for the design, development and facilitation of Org Sales programs, workshops, individual and in-tact Sales development consulting and facilitation, and other customized development solutions that align with our mission and meet the needs of the business.

This role offers the opportunity to lead development initiatives at scale across all enterprise Sales functions and requires close collaboration with leadership, key stakeholders and organization partners. The ideal candidate will possess Sales experience, team management experience with passion in learning design, adult development, facilitation and content curation.

The Manager – Talent and Organization Development (Sales) will report to the Sr. Manager – Talent and Organization Development. Penske's corporate offices are in Reading, PA, 75 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Candidates that are within a commutable distance are highly preferred. This role is open to remote work with travel up to 15%. All candidates must be able to establish and maintain a presence to advance initiatives with senior leaders and oversee positive relations with staff.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coach associates who design, develop and lead the implementation of the Org Sales strategy, portfolio and programs and initiatives that link business strategies to individual and organization performance.

• When required by the business, design and facilitate Sales programs and modules to the highest standards of program design and delivery. Use master facilitation skills and techniques to meet participants where they are and lead them in maximizing their growth, potential, and contribution to the business.

• Analyze business context, stakeholder needs, & industry trends to execute Talent Development strategy and accountable for ensuring the quality of needs assessments leveraging both Instructional and Organizational Design methods

• Successfully collaborate, lead and develop an engaged team as the portfolio expands.

• Align course content and pedagogy with Penske's stratified leadership, performance and development model.

• Create and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors, universities and other leading edge Org. Sales resources.

• Participate in leadership and stakeholder meetings, providing expertise and counsel on training needs for initiatives.

• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree Required

• Association of Talent Development (ATD) or other Training Cert. preferred

• Subject matter expert in Sales, Sales management, Sales methods and practices

• 3+ years of experience leading a team

• 5+ years of Adult Learning & Development experience preferred

• 2+ years' experience designing, developing, & delivering effective learning experiences

• Experience with group facilitation or public speaking

• Experience with project management and program design / development / implementation preferred

• Expertise in needs assessment and consultation with business partners across a defined portfolio

• Consistently demonstrates exemplary follow through and proactive solution development to organization needs

• Experience teaching / instructing in a professional setting preferred

• Must be able to effectively manage competing priorities.

• Must be collaborative & work in a team environment

• Must have strong supervisory and consulting skills

• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

• Must be customer centric with excellent interpersonal skills

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
