In collaboration with the Campus Director and Dean of Faculty, provides leadership and guidance around faculty selection, onboarding, evaluation, and professional development. Provides guidance in best practice delivery of instruction and management of the classroom environment to facilitate student success and enhance faculty and student retention.

Pima Medical Institute seeks an experienced education leader to drive excellence in our healthcare programs. In this pivotal leadership role, you'll oversee our entire certificate program faculty while ensuring outstanding educational outcomes.
Your Impact as Assistant Dean:
Faculty Leadership & Development
- Supervise all on-ground certificate program faculty
- Lead faculty recruitment, interviewing, and selection process
- Conduct annual classroom observations and performance evaluations
- Design and deliver faculty training on accreditation standards, policies, and curricula
- Mentor faculty in educational technology and classroom best practices
- Create continuing education and professional development opportunities
Program Excellence
- Coordinate with the Home Office Education Department on curriculum implementation
- Monitor and drive student success metrics
- Oversee classroom and lab equipment maintenance
- Manage classroom supply inventory
- Lead regular faculty and program meetings
- Review and act on end-of-course survey results
- Facilitate communication between on-ground and online hybrid faculty
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain detailed electronic faculty files
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage documentation of licenses, certifications, and continuing education
- Guide Advisory Board meetings
- Coordinate between Campus, Home Office Education, and Regulatory Operations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, curriculum, health science, or related field
- 5+ years of teaching experience in health professions education
- 5+ years utilizing educational technology tools
- Higher education leadership/management experience
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, video-conferencing tools, and educational technology
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in education, curriculum, health science, or related field
- 5+ years of higher education leadership experience
