Description
Coordinate the clinical education and instruction of students in the Veterinary Nursing Programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Clinical Site Management & Coordination
- Establish and maintain clinical partnerships, including securing new sites and managing contractual agreements
- Ensure all clinical affiliation contracts are current, properly tracked, and meet program requirements
- Develop and maintain clinical education plans, coordinating with site staff to establish regular student rotations
- Conduct site visits to evaluate student performance and ensure educational effectiveness
Student Success & Education
- Provide comprehensive orientation for students at each clinical education site
- Monitor and evaluate student competency, maintaining detailed clinical records
- Track student success rates and implement retention strategies to maintain 80% success rate
- Meet individually with students to provide support and guidance
- Assess student performance against course objectives and adapt instruction to meet learning needs
- Maintain accurate grade records and prepare end-of-semester documentation
- Perform regular Veterinary Nursing instructor duties as needed
Program Development & Administration
- Coordinate both clinical and didactic education for the Veterinary Nursing Programs
- Develop and revise clinical objectives and evaluation criteria
- Manage student scheduling within clinical sites
- Provide recommendations for program improvements to the Program Director
- Support student admission processes as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Credentials
- Associate degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA (Baccalaureate degree preferred)
- Current licensure as either:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT)
- Must maintain all required local, state, and federal credentials for veterinary practice
Experience
- Minimum three (3) years of practical experience in the veterinary field
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated organizational and planning capabilities
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and clinical partners
DVM Hiring range: $104,405-$135,725 annually
RVT Hiring range: $81,575-$101,970 annually
