Schedule Details: Day shift Monday - Friday, alternating locations between Delafield and Mukwonago. 

 

Responsibilities
  • Follow ProHealth Care's Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Actively supports the customer service goals of ProHealth Care as outlined by the ProHealth Experience 
  • Efficiently prepare exam rooms in advance of the patient placement.   Setting out proper equipment and/or supplies specific to the examination
  • Follow PHMG standard rooming workflows, prepare patient for provider exam (includes obtaining vital signs, verification of health history, allergies, medications, health maintenance review, etc)
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation into the EMR for all patient care (i.e. vital signs, test results, inbasket messages, etc); document information for accurate billing of services
  • Following each patient visit, cleans exam room in preparation for the next patient
  • Periodically review exam rooms to ensure sufficient stock of supplies, materials and instruments 
  • Answers and makes patient phone calls in accordance with HIPPA guidelines.  Obtains medical information for the provider and, reports test results to patients under the direction of the provider
  • Prepares and administers medications and vaccinations in accordance with PHC policy
  • Prepares sterile field and assists provider with procedures; Cleans and prepares instruments to be sent to sterile processing
  • Follows established PHMG Refill Procedure   
  • Contacts patient pharmacy for prescription verification; prepares and submits prior authorizations as needed 
  • Performs therapeutic treatments and health screenings, i.e. ear lavage, nebulizer treatments, hearing and vision screening, head or neck circumference, height, weight, length (infants), EKG, etc
  • Provide patient with provider directed after visit instructions, answers patient questions, seeks clarification from provider as needed
  • As directed, completes specimen collection following established PHMG or PHC policies 
  • Performs Point of Care testing, including specimen collection, preparation, testing and recording results.   Ensures CLIA compliance standards are met
  • Assists provider with splints, casting or orthopedic appliance fitting.  Prepares the patient for the application 
  • Under the direction of the provider, performs wound cleaning and / or application of bandage to wound
  • Respond to urgent or emergent situations, calls for appropriate clinical assistance according to established protocols
  • Following established policies and guidelines, assists in the control and maintenance of clinic medications, vaccinations, supplies, and equipment 
  • Other duties as assigned by PHMG Leadership 
  • From time to time and at the discretion of PHMG Leadership, individual may be asked to float to other departments or PHMG clinic locations
Additional Requirements

 

Certifications or Licenses

  • BLS / CPR 

 

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN or other equivalent clinical training program

 

Experience

  • 1 to 3 years preferred 
What You Will Do:

Provides direct care to patients under the supervision and delegation of the Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Physician within ProHealth Medical Group.  Provides care in partnership with the patient and their family, with the goal of supporting an optimal healing community.
