We Are Hiring: Manager, ICU - WMH & OMH 

 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to oversee the Intensive Care Units (ICUs) at both ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital and ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care across both facilities. The Manager will be responsible for all aspects of operations management, including staffing, budgeting, performance improvement, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Oversee nursing practices in the ICUs, ensuring alignment with the American Nurses Association (ANA) professional practice standards and the nursing code of ethics.

  • Operational Management: Develop and manage annual operational and capital budgets, monitor productivity, and implement cost-effective strategies without compromising patient care quality.

  • Staff Development: Create and maintain staffing plans that ensure 24/7 coverage, facilitate ongoing education and professional development opportunities for ICU staff, and promote a culture of continuous learning.

  • Performance Improvement: Utilize evidence-based practices to evaluate and enhance patient care quality, incorporating peer reviews, safety reports, and patient outcomes into performance assessments.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure departmental adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards and organizational policies.

  • Technology Integration: Leverage advanced medical technologies to improve patient care processes and outcomes.

  • Strategic Planning: Translate organizational vision and goals into actionable plans for the ICUs, fostering an environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

  • Relationship Management: Cultivate effective relationships with patients, families, medical staff, and external partners to promote collaborative care and community engagement.

  • Diversity and Inclusion: Champion initiatives that recognize and value diversity, ensuring culturally competent care and fostering an inclusive workplace.

 

 

Schedule Details: Day shift Monday through Friday with 24/7 accountability. This position covers both WMH and OMH ICU campuses.

 

Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role within a critical care setting.

  • Skills: Proven ability in financial management, staff development, performance improvement, and strategic planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
