With those key factors in mind, Quality Carriers is looking for a Software Developer to join our team. This position will work as part of a team and be responsible for creating, maintaining, and testing custom software applications. Successful candidates will perform as the Project Lead or Project Coordinator responsible for maintaining the project timeline for various software projects to ensure deadlines are regularly met.
This is a hybrid in-office/remote role. Expect the first 90 days to be 80% in-office and up to 50% in-office after 90 days of employment have passed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support existing software applications.
- Write new software code to specification.
- Ensure all code written is thoroughly unit-tested before release.
- Responsible for the development of detailed design documents and programming specifications.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Minimum education/experience necessary to perform the job:
- 4 Year Computer Science Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years experience working with C#, vb.net, SQL Server, source control systems.
- 3-5 years experience working knowledge of Microsoft Office products editing and publishing programs.
- Git, JS, and SSIS skills are strongly preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively
- Proficient time management and organizational skills required
- Understanding of project management concepts to ensure projects stay on task and meet deadlines regularly
