Edge Thought Leader
Why We Have This Role
We are looking for an innovative strategist to influence the strategic direction of Qualtrics' go-to-market strategies and partner with teams across the Qualtrics value chain to execute on the strategies. While most of this role's efforts will be focused in the pre-sales environment, some of the additional cross-functional initiatives may include input in product direction, content generation, contributing to analyst reports/relationships, attending events, and influencing account-based marketing activity.

Thrive as a subject matter expert focused on pre-sales engagements that build, expand and close pipeline in the most critical accounts for the business, with the most critical stakeholders and decision makers. Serve as a strategic partner to the sales team in key opportunities, delivering outputs that help customers build their vision for experience management, and design their roadmaps towards the art of the possible.

- Support product innovation by turning client signal into solution/ product development requirements
Things You'll Do
There are 3 key areas of impact that Edge Strategist will be accountable for:
- Building brand/ solution awareness in the market to drive pipeline
- Provide guidance to the PMM team on product positioning and messaging, competitive intelligence and key trends influencing how we position and grow.
- Contribute to thought leadership content to help build our brand in market. Be a visible, strategic thought leader at our most strategic customer events.
- Provide guidance to the teams responsible for unlocking barriers to growth in this market (e.g. accessibility, security, procurement frameworks) and work with these groups to proactively address critical issues
- Collaborate on development of sales assets (pitch decks, POVs, 1-pagers, etc.) that will resonate with industry customers
- Engage with enablement leader to develop enablement strategy, plan, and execution to bolster Qualtrics Edge knowledge.
- Partner on strategic deals and recruiting marquee clients to join our flagship program
- Work directly with sales teams pursuing key deals across quarters and years. These deals could range from large dollar deals with significant impact on short-term Edge performance to important longer-term potential accounts (think deep XM adoption). Either way, your expertise and guidance will be essential to effectively meeting our customers' needs.
- Engage with select existing customers who have the potential to act as flagship advocates for Edge. Expectation that they contribute to case studies, webinars, PR content.
- Act as a support / guide to the service delivery teams (internal and ecosystem) in key flagship accounts and as a trusted advisor to the C-suite / budget holders of our most valued customers.
- Guide product development for future solutions
- Translate customer needs into products/solutions ideas and collaborate with product teams to develop business cases for pursuing new product opportunities and influence product roadmaps
- Participate in vetting potential Edge partners (implementation, tech, and data source partners) based on their ability to meet Edge customer needs
- Partner with the delivery resources and product teams to improve existing solutions based on client feedback/ demand
What We're Looking For On Your Resume
- 12+ years of experience - combination of direct client delivery experience and strategic consulting for research / CMO Ideal Customer Profile. SaaS and MARTech knowledge and/or experience is a bonus
- A strong understanding of industry trends and an ability to articulate for the layperson
- Strong research domain expertise: well-versed in challenges and opportunities impacting customer organizations
- Experience consulting on the design and implementation of Experience Management (XM) Programs - Employee or Customer
- A strong knowledge of survey/assessment design, change management consulting, and quantitative or qualitative data analysis
- Outstanding executive presence and communication skills to be able to engage with C-level executives
- Demonstrated ability to persuasively communicate complex concepts at the highest level within organizations and an ability to build relationships with strategic decision makers
- Preferred previous experience operating in a commercial environment supporting enterprise sales and marketing teams
- Effective visual and verbal storytelling skills (e.g., logical structuring, focused on strategic business objectives)
- Skilled at driving cross-functional collaboration to accomplish Edge strategy execution
- Willingness to travel ~25% (could be up to ~50%)
- Preferred experience in design thinking and strategy
- Previous experience at hyper growth startup welcome
- Undergraduate degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Business or Economics: MBA, MA/MS, Phd, or graduate degree in relevant field preferred
