Senior Account Executive - New Zealand Territory

Why We Have This Role

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive based in Sydney who will own and grow a portfolio of mid-sized and small-enterprise accounts across New Zealand. In this role, you will be central to helping businesses close experience gaps using Qualtrics' SaaS platform with tailored Experience Management (XM) solutions. You'll collaborate closely with customers, guiding them to leverage our platform to enhance their customer and employee experiences, driving measurable business outcomes. This role requires regular travel to New Zealand to build strong relationships and deeply understand client needs.

How You'll Find Success

  • Takes initiative to deeply understand client goals and context, then works independently and creatively to meet them.
  • Builds and maintains trusted senior relationships, including C-level engagements across New Zealand markets.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas with a strategic approach to pipeline development and deal closure.
  • Expertly negotiates deals that deliver mutual value for clients and Qualtrics.
  • Communicates clearly and influences internally and externally, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align efforts.
  • Comfortable managing complex sales cycles across multi-stakeholder organisations within mid-market and small-enterprise segments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel semi-regularly to New Zealand to strengthen client partnerships and grow accounts.

  • Hone advanced negotiation and sales strategy abilities managing complex deals.

Things You'll Do

  • Own and grow a targeted book of business across New Zealand, driving new client acquisition and expanding platform adoption in mid-market and small-enterprise accounts.
  • Consult with prospects and clients on their strategic goals and craft dynamic account plans including power mapping, demand generation, and tailored closing strategies.
  • Build and maintain senior executive relationships at client and prospect companies.
  • Collaborate internally with customer success, solutions consulting, partners, and other teams to build demand and drive engagement.
  • Stay current on Qualtrics' platform capabilities and competitive landscape to create compelling, win-focused proposals and pricing.
  • Travel semi-regularly to New Zealand to engage with clients and close deals.

What We're Looking For On Your Resume

  • Minimum 6 years' experience in software/technology sales focused on mid-market and small-enterprise customers.
  • Proven success selling to Marketing and HR functions, with strong client acquisition and pipeline-building experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets consistently in a strategic, consultative sales environment.
  • Experience driving sales conversations that engage stakeholders through multiple stages: prospecting, demos, negotiation, and closure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the agility to adapt approaches as client and business needs evolve.
  • Effective collaborator who brings together internal teams and resources to support deal success.
