Summary:
Industrial Automation VMI Specialist is responsible for operational analysis and execution at contracted customer sites for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI). Additionally, responsible for execution and management of assessments, proposals, submittals, schedules, and on-site customer services for various end user projects.
What You'll Do:
- Establish and foster relationships with the sales department and customers to better understand sales potential and ascertain customer needs
- Manage the VMI sales process (data collection, analysis, preparation of findings, price negotiations, etc.)
- Implement customer on-site VMI programs: design inventory solutions, receiving and delivering product, stocking, and labeling finished goods
- Prepare, analyze, and deliver scheduled VMI customer reviews
- Train new hires on VMI process (data analysis, replenishment, etc.)
- Conduct customer onsite assessments, evaluations, and other on-site services as needed
- Identify opportunities for on-site services, such as repairs, and provide information to customers about the services offerings
- Resolve customer concerns regarding billing, credit and products sold; refer concerns to appropriate departments for investigation and resolution
- Identify and utilize business system, CRM tools, and other vendor tools to support customer quotations and orders
- Assist with VMI and assessment proposals and quotes
- Manage time sensitive quote requests including assessment opportunities
- Keep an accurate daily record of expenses
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School or GED - Required
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
- Practice good interpersonal relations, using tact, courtesy, a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers, pleasant telephone etiquette, and a general attitude as a representative of goodwill on behalf of the company at work or during company travel
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, blueprints, or governmental regulations
- Able to perform basic math functions representative of the job such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and metric scales; computing rate, ratio, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs; calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and/or Access
- Become proficient in the current business system
