Since 1870 we've been making malted barley for brewers and distillers all over the world from our home maltings in Norfolk, England. Today, we continue that work in 4 countries, across 7 maltings with a specific emphasis on supplying distilleries and craft breweries. We currently have an opportunity for a Engineering Stores Controller at our Great Ryburgh location.
This role will be responsible for managing and ordering stock levels of engineering items necessary to ensure the efficient running of the Great Ryburgh site. This is an opportunity to be involved in designing, developing, and implementing a stores system, previous stores experience would be an advantage but is not essential. The role will also require some support of the other UK malting sites on occasion with sourcing and ordering of parts.

Comply with company policies and any training received at all times.
Health & Safety of yourself and colleagues is always maintained by following Safe Systems of Work, training and wearing of correct PPE as required. Reporting of Accidents, Near Misses and Hazards
Ensure that the workplace is always maintained to acceptable standards to reduce to the risk of Hazards
Maintaining stock levels of engineering spares, cleaning supplies and PPE/clothing.
Creating and or maintaining an accurate stores inventory.
Controlling stock, maintain realistic stock levels, setting min/max according to usage and external considerations like lead times and delivery issues such as customs and excise delays.
Obtaining quotes as required and placing orders within the agreed spend parameters.
Developing excellent relationships with our many suppliers.
Ordering items from our approved general suppliers and from our OEM suppliers.
Accepting delivery of orders and checking off against orders and delivery notes
Engage fully in all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental training to assist the Company to meet its legal obligations.
Unloading and loading of delivery vehicles as required with the use of FLT
