Position Summary & Requirements:
Dakota Growers Pasta Company, in Carrington, ND, has an internship opportunity available for a Mill Intern.
The Mill Internship offers Students the opportunity to gain valuable first-hand experience working with a knowledgeable team to operate our state of the art 18,000 cwt durum mill.
The Mill Intern will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of production including mill processing, pasta production, and packaging. The Intern will shadow a Lead Mill Operator and participate in mill operation, semolina/flour transfer operation, job safety analysis, sifter maintenance and other tasks required of daily operation of the mill.
The Mill Intern will receive on-the-job training in all areas of milling operations. Candidates for the internship should have effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills. The ability to lift, twist, bend, and tolerate high heat and humidity if necessary.
Preferred areas of study include Milling Science and Process Technology.
