Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We are expanding our payroll team to support our growing business in Canada and the US where a team of Payroll professionals currently process 13 Canadian payrolls and 9 US payrolls across unionized and non-unionized environments.
We currently have an opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in our North American Payroll team in our Head Office in Winnipeg. The Payroll Administrator processes employee pay for assigned operating business units using Workday (HRIS system) and UKG (time and attendance system).
Responsibilities:
- Process a subset of Richardson's Canadian and/or US weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for both unionized and non-union employees in a timely manner
- Assess incoming payroll information including time and attendance, garnishments, benefits and tax changes and review for accuracy
- Verify input and output of payroll including T4s and W2s generated in Workday
- Troubleshoot routine pay processing and time keeping issues within Workday and UKG
- Report on and reconcile payroll payments to third party providers
Qualifications:
- Payroll certification with a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a sophisticated, fast-paced payroll team or equivalent combination of education and experience in both Canadian and US payroll processing
- Diploma or certificate in Administration, Commerce or Human Resources considered an asset
- Strong working knowledge of payroll and time and attendance systems; experience working with Workday and UKG preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian and US payroll legislation, collective agreements, benefits plans and accounting principles
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in working with managers and employees to understand and process payroll information
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while ensure the accuracy of payroll information
