We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Engineering Services group located in our Richardson Building in Winnipeg.
This position is responsible for the successful management and overall execution of various construction, expansion and/or process improvement projects, based on the corporation's business development strategy and Capital Expenditures plan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop budgets and scopes for engineering and process improvement projects
- Prepare and manage vendor bid packages and selection
- Supervise vendors to ensure quality, compliance, and schedule adherence
- Review technical drawings, system schematics, and site plans (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, 3D models)
- Negotiate contracts and recommend vendor awards
- Lead project meetings with contractors and stakeholders to track progress and budget
- Create operating procedures for new or upgraded systems
- Maintain a vendor database and assess performance in safety, quality, and cost
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) with 5+ years in industrial project management, capital planning, or facility operations
- Strong skills in project management, vendor negotiation, and technical problem-solving
- Experience with material handling, equipment process design/control, and industrial troubleshooting
- Familiarity with agribusiness infrastructure (grain handling, crop inputs) is an asset
- Knowledge of building, electrical, and fire safety codes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude in large-scale facilities
- Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally
