Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior IT Business Analyst within our Information Technology department in downtown Winnipeg. This role is responsible for gathering requirements, designing solutions, testing, documenting, and providing training and support for business applications used by our agribusiness divisions. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are self-starters, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Meet internal clients to gather requirements for system enhancements and new functionality
- Create process maps, design and prototype solutions, and review with project stakeholders
- Collaborate and provide leadership to the project team in an agile environment
- Prepare test cases and rigorously test developed enhancements to verify that they work correctly and address the requirements
- Co-ordinate client testing, conduct training sessions and write user documentation
- Provide ongoing support to end users by managing bug and enhancement requests
- Participate in the evaluation of packaged software that may satisfy client requirements
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in a business, computer science, or other related programs
- Minimum 8 years of relevant IT business analysis with experience gathering requirements as part of process or system changes
- Ability to analyze and solve problems by translating business requirements into solutions
- Well-developed communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Experience in business process modelling and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Strong attention to detail with experience working as part of a team
- Relevant experience in agribusiness, food processing, or logistics environment would be an asset
- Experience with any of the following would be an asset:
- SQL or Power BI
- Agile software development methodologies
- Atlassian Jira or Confluence
- Software testing methodologies and test automation
