We currently have an opportunity for a Transport Manager at our Crisp Malt, Ryburgh location.
The transport manager is responsible for managing all aspects relating to the Crisp haulage fleet and company vehicles. Tasks include: -
- Fleet optimisation to ensure vehicles are fully utilised and cost effective.
- Driver management, recruitment, training, health and safety and wellbeing.
- Download driver cards for weekly analysis and communicate infringements. Download vehicle taco heads.
- Maintain and administrate operator's license.
- Process vehicle insurance claims and maintain insurance database.
- Vehicle maintenance- Prepare and maintain service /MOT schedules, arrange repairs and maintain vehicle records.
- Arrange breakdown recovery when necessary.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with TASCC procedures.
- Procurement of equipment relating to the transport department.
- Procurement and management of company cars.
- Maintain driving license register for company car drivers or drivers with business use.
- Grey fleet management.
- Invoice processing and general haulage administration.
- Manage Driver PRP scheme and prepare payroll reports.
- Collate and maintain annual budgets for Transport department.
- Collate transport KPIs and costs against budget.
- Recruit and manage subcontract contracts.
- Fuel management.
- Apply VED or company vehicles.
- Keep up to date with legislation changes and communicate to drivers.
- Oversight of Transport operations in Scotland. Assist with pricing structures and third-party haulage.
- Support and holiday cover for traffic manager.

Qualifications, skills and experience
Essential
Transport Operator license
Strong knowledge of Transport and logistics operations.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 programs including Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
Ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
Management experience.
Desirable
Experience with SAP
Experience with fleet management systems.
