Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Lead to join our team at our Martensville, SK location. This position is responsible for providing leadership to the maintenance team and maintenance services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the maintenance team and completes regular preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment according to established schedules and procedures.

  • Troubleshoots, fabricates, repairs and installs mechanical equipment/parts in accordance with established procedures.

  • Provide assistance to other Maintenance and mill team members.

  • Responds to after-hours emergency calls on a rotational basis.

  • Actively engages the team in activities to meet safety and food safety goals.

  • Operates in accordance with health, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Journeyperson Millwright/Industrial Mechanic with experience in milling, processing, or manufacturing environments.

  • Experience with parts inventory management, preventive maintenance programs, equipment repairs, shutdown planning, and technical parts identification.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead maintenance teams, mentor apprentices, train employees, coordinate work activities, and support department performance.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to respond to emergencies, support investigations, and work effectively across departments.

  • Committed to safety, food safety, continuous improvement, and company values, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business systems.
