Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility.  We currently have an opportunity for a Millwright at our Barrhead, AB.  As a Millwright, you are responsible for providing maintenance support to maximize production and supply quality product to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance

  • Design, fabrication of parts to change equipment when necessary

  • Use steam trap analysis including repairs to steam related equipment

  • Maintain and update all schematics after work has been completed that pertain to the Mill

  • Practice and enforce plant safety and food safety standards

  • Investigate all reports of mechanical and operational problems in the Mill

  • Communicate with management any failures found in the Mill

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Red Seal Millwright certificate is required

  • Knowledge of maintenance practices, preventative and predictive maintenance

  • Strong computer, math, electrical, welding, plumbing ad pipe fitting skills

  • Perform work orders, unscheduled maintenance, and task forms with appropriate documentation, boiler water treatment, and RO monitoring

  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively

  • Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
