Richardson Oilseed is one of Canada's oldest and largest fully-integrated oilseed processing and packaging operations with three facilities across Canada. In addition to producing bulk canola oil and meal, our food products division produces a wide variety of canola-based margarines, oils, and shortenings for the industrial, retail and foodservice markets.
Working with Richardson opens the door to a work of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor at our Lethbridge, AB location.
Responsibilities:
Direct daily maintenance activities, set priorities, assign work, and coordinate with production and stakeholders
Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance personnel and contractors while administering policies and collective agreements
Plan and manage maintenance schedules, parts procurement, contractor work, and resource allocation
Monitor budgets, approve purchases, and provide technical support to optimize operational performance
Promote and enforce safe work practices, ensuring compliance with OH&S, GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements
Lead safety activities including inspections, audits, meetings, and maintaining clean and safe work environments
Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and ensure adherence to safety programs by employees and contractors
Analyze equipment failures using root cause and reliability-centered maintenance methods; implement sustainable corrective actions
Support troubleshooting, emergency repairs, shutdown execution, and equipment commissioning while driving process improvements
Manage CMMS data, work orders, asset records, scheduling, and workforce time administration
Track maintenance KPIs and ensure accurate reporting to support planning and performance improvement
Qualifications:
Engineering diploma or Red Seal trade certification with relevant industrial maintenance experience
2–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance or operations
Strong knowledge of CMMS, maintenance planning, and reliability practices (RCA/RCM)
Experience with budgeting, procurement, and contractor/vendor management
Solid understanding of health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
