Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Shipper/Receiver at our Memphis, TN facility. The hourly wage for this position is $21.85 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules

  • Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:

    • Always using the required personal protective equipment

    • Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely

    • Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards

    • Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives

  • Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure

  • Complete paperwork as required, receive shipments, lot tracking, controls around auditing, scheduling/coordinating trucking off-shift and supervisor fill-in

  • Unload, count, perform data entry and stocking of inbound material and/or pick, audit and ship outbound orders.  Enter data into inventory system using RAMP-PROPS

  • Verifies accuracy of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities against documents

  • Prepares items for delivery including acquiring signatures and maintaining Receiving documents

  • Sign for receipt of product from delivery drivers. Assist in unloading of trucks if required

  • Sort product and ensure accuracy of product received

  • Verify product condition and suitability for receipt. Electronically receive product. Use of automated data collection equipment and computers is required

  • Place product into assigned locations

  • Bin consolidation, warehouse transfers and restocking from overstock to pick locations

  • Using picklists or paperless picking tools, select items from stock to ship. Document items selected and record picker number on picklist

  • Using Picklists or barcode readers, audit picked shipments to verify correct part number, serial/lot number and quantity. Document errors detected on the provided log. Also alert a lead or supervisor if product condition is in question or there is any issue with the accuracy of an order

  • Regular preventative maintenance as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed

  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively

  • Understand instruction and follow direction

  • Work primarily in a warm to hot environment

  • High School Diploma or GED required
