RVCC is looking to hire a Health Information Technician!# #River Valley Counseling Center, Inc#s Mission is to improve the health of all people in our community. Job Responsibilities: To provide clerical and secretarial support for the effective operation of the care, recording and correspondence regarding client health information of the assigned site location To organize and maintain accurate files and records and to retrieve files as necessary To answer phone calls promptly and courteously and to take and communicate messages accurately To accurately handle correspondence, recordkeeping, database maintenance, and release of information procedures in a time sensitive manner To assist with record requests and audits for authorized internal and external agency representatives To assist the Site Director and professional staff with special projects and to perform other duties relative to site operations, as assigned or directed# To develop and maintain proficiency in using RVCC#s EHR (Carelogic) and computer systems accurately and effectively# To submit new and updated insurance to RVCC Billing group To review and discard of client charts as needed per policy requirement Job Requirements: Education Level - High School Diploma or GED Years of Experience - 6 months in#a computerized office environment Skills/Abilities - Bilingual preferred, Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; crisis intervention skills; organizational skills; attention to detail; computer skills; good customer relations skills; knowledge of legal and ethical issues pertaining to the profession.
