Summary

The Director of Distribution oversees warehouse and delivery operations within a market. Responsibilities include strategic planning, optimizing operational efficiency, minimizing costs, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. This role involves managing staff and logistics partners, implementing technology and continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with other departments and corporate teams to ensure seamless supply chain coordination.

In this role, you will
  • Develop and execute distribution strategies aligned with company objectives and standards.
  • Lead and manage warehouse and delivery operations to maximize efficiency and service levels.
  • Act as a liaison with commercial partners to drive operational success.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze distribution costs and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Implement best practices and SOPs for process optimization.
  • Oversee inventory control and accuracy.
  • Recruit, train, and develop warehouse and delivery teams, fostering a culture of innovation and safety.
     
What you bring to RNDC
  • Five or more years related experience.
  • Three to five years previous distribution, transportation and/or warehouse management or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5 years previous management and operations experience with an alcoholic beverage wholesaler or supplier preferred.
  • Ability to regularly operate a motor vehicle.
  • Current state driver's license.
  • Spanish bilingual abilities preferred.
