Summary

The Pricing Manager will oversee the Pricing Specialist team and manage the entry, accuracy, and compliance of pricing within our systems to ensure alignment with state laws, company standards, and business objectives. This leadership role acts as a key liaison between State Sales Finance and Sales Execution, ensuring the seamless integration of pricing information for sales, billing, and reporting. As a strategic gatekeeper, the Pricing Manager will troubleshoot and resolve pricing-related issues within assigned states and lead the team in maintaining consistent and precise pricing administration.

In this role, you will
  • Lead and oversee the review and processing of price change requests into Vistaar and local ERPs by the Pricing Specialist team, ensuring compliance with state laws and company regulations. Escalate concerns and provide direction as necessary.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of pricing data entered into the system, making it accessible and understandable for sales teams and customers while managing the overall process for the team.
  • Validate proper setup for new items when entering pricing, ensuring that taxes, class codes, commission codes, and other relevant data align with state-specific requirements.
  • Supervise the team in performing regular maintenance and data cleanup, ensuring the integrity of the pricing database, including managing deals, discontinued items, and pricing records.
  • Oversee the administrative tasks related to Vistaar (pricing engine) management, including price groups, alternative groups, deal tags, sub-brand changes, and more, ensuring minimal disruption to deals during changes.
  • Review pricing overrides and credit requests, ensuring adherence to company policies and reconciliation guidelines, and managing the escalation process for additional review when necessary.
  • Lead efforts in assisting with various supplier-related tasks, including onboarding new supplier items, setting up supplier AR accounts, and managing supplier-billed inventory transfers.
  • Direct the gathering and compiling of data for end-of-month billing, ensuring accurate invoicing for supplier samples, DA recovery, manual DAs, and related items. Ensure correct billing of supplier funds and AR accounts.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for pricing-related issues within assigned states, troubleshooting concerns, providing solutions, and guiding the team to resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and supply chain, to ensure alignment of pricing strategies and operational execution across the business.
  • Manage the ongoing professional development and training of the Pricing Specialist team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to meet business objectives.
  • Analyze and report on pricing performance and trends, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements and pricing strategy adjustments.
     
What you bring to RNDC

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, finance, or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of pricing structures, tax codes, commission structures, and state-specific regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Vistaar) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working with Vistaar or similar pricing software.
  • Experience in supplier and vendor management processes.
  • Expertise in driving process improvements and managing pricing strategies.

Compensation

This compensation information is a good faith estimate and provided in accordance with the laws of the District of Columbia. Similar positions located outside of this jurisdiction may not necessarily receive the same compensation.  The salary generally starts at 79,100.00 up to 113,000.00, and is a combination of base salary plus monthly earned commissions if applicable. The salary is an estimate based on an applicant's skills and experience.
