Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Cancer Registry Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Abstracts information from the EHR for inclusion in the Cancer Registry database in order to facilitate cancer research and program decisions according to the standards of the American College of Surgeons, the New York State Cancer Registry and Roswell Park Cancer Registry guidelines. Performs follow up on patients in the registry database. Starting hourly rate is $28.90. Qualifications: Required Education and ExperienceCertification Requirement
Current Certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS)
Education and Experience
Associate's degree.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications: At least three years of experience in a hospital cancer registry. Abstracting and coding experience according to ACoS/COC and NYSCR guidelines. Experience with Neuralframe/KACI a plus. Case finding and follow up experience. Knowledge of the NCDB Rapid Cancer Reporting System.
