Title: Nurse II - Pediatrics

Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Ambulatory Services - Pediatrics Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 37.5 FTE: 0.9375 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: Join our dedicated Pediatric Clinic team, where we provide comprehensive care including checkups, immunizations, IV infusions, chemo/biotherapy administration, and CAR-T infusions. In this role, you will plan, deliver, and supervise nursing interventions for pediatric patients with cancer and cancer-related conditions. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing patient responses to actual or potential health issues, providing education and counseling, and executing prescribed medical regimens. You will also offer life-supporting and restorative care, supervise a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, and contribute to administrative operations within your area. Ongoing professional development is encouraged through participation in educational programs, workshops, and inservice training. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience

License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.

Education and Experience
1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time oncology nursing experience; or
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time critical care experience; or
3. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting; or
4. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full-time) as a Nurse I at Roswell Park.

NOTE:
1. Incumbents will serve a one (1) year full-time probationary period as a Nurse II.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and have experience administering chemotherapy, particularly in pediatric settings. Certification in Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nursing (CPHON) and completion of the APHON Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Course are strongly desired. Prior experience working with pediatric patients in an oncology or infusion clinic setting is highly valued.
