Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Department of Internal Medicine - Infectious Disease Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary: The Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) in the Department of Internal Medicine is seeking to recruit a full-time clinician at the Assistant or Associate Professor level at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. The recruit would join three ID faculty at Roswell Park and have the option to join the larger University at Buffalo (UB) ID division (17 faculty and growing). The Division of ID at Roswell Park is supported by 2 advanced practice providers (APPs), 1 ID pharmacist (with a 2nd ID pharmacist supporting the Division part-time), and 4 Infection Preventionists. The Division Chief also acts as the Medical Director of the Roswell Park Clinical Microbiology Laboratory, and the Division thus has close ties to Microbiology.Founded in 1898, Roswell Park is the oldest dedicated cancer research center in the world. Roswell Park was the third NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center (and the only NCI cancer center in Upstate New York) and was an NCCN charter member. The institution provides cancer care across the spectrum of pathologies, including hemopoietic stem cell transplant and adoptive cellular therapy services. The ID team works closely with all oncology and supportive services and is actively engaged in collaborative cancer-focused and general ID research.
The opportunities and responsibilities of this position include the following:
• Inpatient consult service supported by an APP, an ID pharmacist, and ID fellows from UB
• Dedicated ID outpatient clinic supported by an APP and nurse coordinator
• Weekend call approximately 1:4
• Opportunity for leadership as Medical Director of Infectious Prevention and Control (IPC experience preferable but not required)
• Opportunities for research via collaborations with our oncologists, supportive services, and/or with UB faculty
• Flexibility in the balance of the above responsibilities based on a candidate's background and interests
• Recruit will be recommended for a faculty position in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo
• Weekly case conferences and journal club / research conferences via UB and weekly divisional conferences at Roswell Park

Salary range is $225,000 - $332,053.00 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirement
1. License or permit to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in General Internal Medicine, Family Practice or other related medical specialty.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree in the field of General Internal Medicine.
NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
