The Field Service Technician II will disassemble, reassemble, troubleshoot, and maintain vehicle 
platforms on-site in Roush facilities, in offsite facilities, and remote locations. The role will communicate 
with employees, engineering, customers, and requesters. The Field Service Technician II will mentor and 
oversee team member's technical deliverables to ensure Roush and customer standards are met. 

As a Field Service Technician ll, you will:

  •  Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems to component level
    failures experienced during operation
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) according to project expectations
    and Technical Manuals (TMs) or work instructions, will include utilization of schematics and
    diagrams
  • Perform equipment updates to support testing of vehicle systems
  • Coach, mentor and oversee team member's performance on or in project activities
  • Communicate diagnostic findings to engineering staff for analysis and collaborative resolution
    and conduct daily meetings with team to brief on activities and program or project expectations
  • Assist internal activities with technical expertise related to issue resolution and warranty cases
  • Develop project work instructions in collaboration with engineering and team leadership

To be considered as a Field Service Technician ll, you will need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing vehicle systems
    and minimum of 2 years of experience as Field Service Technician
  • Minimum of 3 years of diagnosing to component level and repairing newly integrated vehicle
    systems
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance tools, repair and special tools, diagnostic equipment.
  • Familiar with application of diagnostic software such as Ford International Diagnostic Software
    (F-IDS), Ford Diagnosis and Repair Systems (FDRS) and Diagnostic Engineering Tool (DET)
  • Knowledge of vehicle systems (powertrain, chassis, electrical, thermal, exteriors, interiors, etc.)
    and related components, component materials & fasteners
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A successful candidate may also have:

  • Certification in Engineering Technology or similar
  • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or Original Equipment Manufacturer
    (OEM) Certification
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance tools, repair and special tools, advanced diagnostic equipment including ATI Vision, PTDiag and Roush Diagnostic Tool (RDT)
  • Proficient in working with Technical Manuals (TM's), wiring schematics, work instructions, work
    orders and follow-up of historic troubleshooter findings and notes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to interact professionally with others
    and ability to prepare written technical reports
  • Broad knowledge of vehicle systems (powertrain, chassis, electrical, thermal, exteriors, interiors,
    etc.) and related components, component materials & fasteners
  • Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
