Description

SAIC is seeking an AWS Cloud Systems Engineer for our North Charleston, SC location.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, etc.) to meet business requirements.
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning strategies.
Implement and manage security measures to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
Stay up-to-date on the latest AWS services and industry best practices.
Participate in on-call rotation to ensure system availability and address incidents.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Require at least one: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
Strong understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.).
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
3+ years of experience in cloud-based system design, with a strong focus on security.
Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret
