This position will actively facilitate multiple project teams in developing, tracking, and managing complex interrelated IT projects.  The well qualified candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in developing and maintaining formal project plans, reports, and artifacts.  The Business Process Analyst will be proactive in supporting multiple project teams in developing and maintaining project plans, reports, and artifacts.  The candidate will identify project cross dependencies and report upon performance metrics and identify project variances.  The well qualified candidate will be expected to direct the project teams in standardizing project development processes, reporting artifacts, and naming conventions. 

The position will have a hybrid telework arrangement with on-site presence two days a week, at a secure government facility within the greater Washington metropolitan area.  The work schedule will be Monday through Friday during normal business hours. The work location and schedule are subject to change based on government requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply best practices, based and PMP/ITIL principals, to develop and maintain essential project artifacts such as project scope, project plans and schedule, and risk matrix

  • Work collaboratively with project teams in developing project plans and schedules that fulfills the project requirements within the agreed upon timeline, addresses the resource constraints and identifies internal/external critical dependencies.

  • Maintain all formal project documentation and artifacts within SharePoint

  • Maintain and enforce the use of standardized processes, documentation, artifacts and metrics across all projects

  • Reconcile project status and documentation between Jira and SharePoint applications

  • Work collaboratively with the project teams to identify and define key performance indicators (KPI) for their projects

  • Develop standardized performance reports to be used across all projects

  • Generate regular performance reports focused on KPIs and identify overall time and schedule, and resource variances.

  • Apply sound project control processes to identify performance challenges and identify and address variances.  Work with the project teams to identify leading indicators for potential performance improvement. 

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  •  Bachelor degree and 5 years or more of related experience; Masters and 3; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.  

  • Hands-on experience with developing, tailoring, and maintaining multiple complex project plans, schedules and reports

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Capable of working well within a collaborative environment as an integral member of a project team.

  • PMP or ITIL 4 certified.

  • Prior work experience supporting U.S. government agencies highly desired.

Required Clearance:

  • US Citizenship.

  • Active secret security clearance.


Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
