SAIC is seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Drafting Engineer to join our dynamic team in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in drafting principles and extensive experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software. This individual will play a key role in converting conceptual designs into technical data packages including models, drawings and additive manufacturing files that meet the DoD and industrial standards.
Qualifications
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience; years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Required skills:
- Professional experience in drafting and CAD.
- Proficiency in multiple CAD software packages such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, NX, etc.
- Strong understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to produce and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Ability to collaborate closely with other team members.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Required clearance:
- US Citizenship is required to meet the security requirements for this contract.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.
