The Cloud Solutions Architect will bring hands-on experience with architecture, design and implementation of Cloud and DevOps solutions using AWS or Azure or, Google (preferred) cloud platforms and services. Exposure to hybrid and multi-cloud architectures and implementations will be a plus. The Cloud Solutions Architect/Engineer will implement compute, storage, network and serverless solutions within public, private, hybrid and multi-clouds to provide Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Container as a Service (CaaS) and API based offerings for Digital Transformation efforts across our federal clients.
You will work with digital leaders, solutions architects and engineers to build secure and compliant landing zones, topologies and turnkey platforms and orchestration. The solutions will be highly interoperable, distributed and support multiple enterprise-wide technology modernization and cloud adoption initiatives across our client portfolios and projects. You will have a great opportunity to collaborate with our business development/capture and proposal teams as well to support winning solutions and bids for federal business opportunities and re-competes.
Responsibilities:
- Solutions engineering within AWS/Azure/Google and private/hybrid cloud platforms and services for large-scale cloud hosting including VPCs, Virtual Networks, servers, applications, databases, security, disaster recovery and failover using automation
- Solution support for technical volumes of proposals and white papers for government RFPs/RFIs
- Serve as a member of an impactful digital transformation team to support technical challenges/demonstrations and build innovative solution prototypes/products using emerging technologies and multi-cloud architectures.
- Perform repeatable cloud migrations including rehost (lift and shift), re-platform and re-engineering of on-premises IT assets (data, network, and systems/applications) into cloud
- Deploy and manage cloud storage and backups for variety of storage and database services
- Engineering of infrastructure as code and DevSecOps solutions using Docker, Terraform, Jenkins and Kubernetes orchestration to automate various tasks for CICD, cloud management, provisioning, decommissioning, and applications and infrastructure deployments
- Build API offerings for cloud solutions and distributed intelligent systems and services
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 10 years of IT experience with software / systems engineering for government or commercial clients using variety of platforms, technologies and frameworks
- 5 years of experience with Cloud and DevOps implementations and migrating applications, infrastructure and datasets to AWS or Azure or GCP (preferred)
- Solutions architecture, development of white papers, proposals and presentations is highly desired
- Cloud certifications such as Architect / SysOps / DevOps Engineer with Google / AWS /Azure is highly desired
- Good written and verbal communication skills with an ability to handle customer requirements
- BS degrees, preferably in Computer Science or IT or Engineering disciplines
- U.S. Citizen is required for the position
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance at a minimum.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
