SAIC is seeking a Communication Equipment Installer for our customer site in North Charleston, SC to support the US Navy to install cable, mounting kits and other equipment in radio rooms of new construction submarines.

This role requires 10% travel (1-2 times per year).

Job Description:

• Work with others who prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipment
• Research, design, develop, and test installation of new equipment
• Integrate and fabricate cables

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in engineering technology, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, Class A or B Military school in electronics or communications; or High School and 2 years of related experience

Required experience:

• Must have cabling experience
• Must have experience or be familiar with the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers, computer peripheral/ interface equipment, VME based systems, digital, switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modems

Required Clearance:

• Must be eligible and must be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date. SAIC will sponsor your clearance. Candidates with active clearances are acceptable
• US Citizenship is required to meet the security requirements for this contract
