SAIC Office of Security is currently seeking CPSO/PSO to support the Charleston, SC Security Operations.

This position is on-site in Charleston, SC. 

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Self-Inspections/Government Inspections as required
  • Maintaining compliance with corporate and government manuals
  • Corporate and Government database and system of record entry
  • Security Awareness Training and Education
  • Personnel Security and coordination with the SAIC PERSEC Service Center
  • Classification Management
  • Interpretation and Training of Classification Guidance
  • Interpretation and Training on DD-254 security guidance
  • Physical Security and coordination with the SAIC PhySEC group
  • Coordination with multiple entities related to the active programs
  • Operations Security (OPSEC)
  • Site and Program meeting attendance
  • Interface with program offices/managers
  • Maintain a relationship with Government PSOs and DCSA the assigned Industrial Security Representative (ISR)
  • Communication to security leadership
  • Indoctrination briefings/debriefings and training presentations
  • Provide prime/subcontractor security support and direction
  • Identify efficiencies and implement best practices
  • Communications Security (COMSEC) coordination
  • Write plans to include concept of operations (CONOPS) and other applicable planning documentation based on requirements
  • Provide support to other security disciplines and sites

Job Duties will include:

  • Providing day-to-day on-site security support to classified and unclassified programs; included, but not limited to, physical security, personnel security, operational security, access control, fielding of daily security request/issues, security training, classification management, and document control.
  • Conducting routine inspections to ensure the adequacy of physical security, and reports deficiencies in alarms, locks, and other security devices. 
  • Conducting administrative inquiries on personnel, processes and situations; in accordance with operating procedures and implement security policy consistent with the Company, DoD, and other Government regulations.
  • Managing security databases, processing personnel for security clearances, reviewing security packages/documents for submission, and educating personnel on general security practices.  
  • Preparing and conducting security indoctrinations, debriefings, and audits.
  • Managing visit authorizations for in/out going visitors and coordinating meetings.
  • Investigating security violations/incident and prepare reports.
  • Participating in security self-assessments, internal peer reviews, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Maintaining a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • COMSEC Custodian.
  • Information System Security implementation and oversight of classified and proprietary materials and equipment.

Qualifications

Required Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors and minimum three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one (1) year or more experience; Four (4) additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. 
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have an active Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • 1-3 years of CPSO experience in government and/or industrial security.
  • Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) FSO certification with possessing curriculum within one year of hiring.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the design and execution of security programs in accordance with 32 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 117/NISPOM.
  • Familiarity with DoD 5205.07. Experience knowledge of ICD's  704, 705, and 706 governance of SCI Programs. Working knowledge and application of 32 CFR, Part 117 (Formally NISPOM) and it's application to DCSA security programs.
  • Proficient in understanding Intelligence Community Directives with an emphasis on ICD-705 (Physical Security).
  • Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutions.
  • High degree of professionalism and attention to detail.
