SAIC is seeking a Cyber Engineer to support Army Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) simulation solutions with the Joint Technology Center/Systems Integration Laboratory (JSIL) on Redstone Arsenal/Huntsville, AL.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work within the Cybersecurity Engineering team to provide technical decisions and guidance to Systems Engineers, Systems Integrators, and Software Engineers to enable high quality product deliveries that meet mission requirements
- Conduct technical evaluation of systems and software requirements
- Work with functional teams to implement, maintain, and monitor technical security controls, to include: STIGs, SRGs, and/or other industry security hardening guidance
- Validate technical security controls are in place for operating systems, applications, network appliances, and recommend enhancements
- Analyze, track, and document disposition of static code analysis scan results
- Perform and analyze results of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans to identify weaknesses and develop operational plans to remediate or mitigate weaknesses as they are discovered
- Assist in updating system artifacts to support RMF; i.e. system diagrams (logical and physical) Hardware/Software/Firmware Inventory, Interface & Ports, Protocols and Services listing, etc
- Maintain a working knowledge of information system (IS) functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology and security threats
- Work with multiple contractors and team partners to continuously deliver value to our customers
- Candidate will review, verify and validate system specifications and other design-related documentation
Qualifications
Required Education:
BS degree with two (2) years of experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- Familiarity with Cybersecurity assessment tools (ACAS, Nessus, SCC, STIG Viewer)
- Understanding of physical and virtual networks
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Team oriented and adaptable
- Strong knowledge with Python/PowerShell/Bash Scripting
- Willingness to support periodic travel (1-2 times per year) CONUS
Required Certification:
- Security+ CE, CySA+, or higher DoD 8140 Certification
Required Clearance:
- An active Interim Secret Clearance; must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Linux System Administration
- Familiarity with STIG/SCAP
- Familiarity with IAVMs
- Experience managing Cisco switches
- Familiarly with static code analysis/dynamic analysis (Tools: Parasoft, Coverity, Fortify)
- Familiarity with C/C++/CS
