Are you a recent engineering graduate or early-career developer looking to work on meaningful, real-world systems? SAIC is seeking  an Entry-Level Embedded Software Engineer to join our team supporting hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing for military defense systems at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

You'll gain hands-on experience in embedded systems, automated testing, and LabVIEW development—all while working alongside experienced engineers who are ready to mentor and support your growth.

What you will do

• Help maintain and support existing HIL test systems used for validating military software and hardware.
• Assist in diagnosing system issues and implementing improvements to stability, maintainability, and efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of new software and hardware tools to expand system capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineers to support automated test infrastructure, documentation, and troubleshooting processes.
• Participate in design and code reviews while developing your engineering skills and understanding of best practices.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and zero (0) years' experience; Additional six (6) years' related experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills:

• Exposure to LabVIEW (via coursework, projects, or internship) or a strong willingness to learn.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and desire to understand system-level behavior.
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to communicate clearly in a team setting.
• Interest in exposure to a wide range of technical domains. Because our systems interact with many components—mechanical, electrical, and software—you'll often dig into documentation, speak with other teams, and develop a working knowledge of subsystems beyond your immediate scope. Over time, you'll naturally grow into a domain expert on the areas you touch.
