SAIC is seeking an Engineer Technician II to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assist with set up, operating, and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Conduct, compile, and interpret results of chemical and physical experiments.
- Assist chemists and chemical engineers with testing, sampling, and analyses for a variety of research and development tasks.
- Types of testing will be conducted using Microscopy, Thermal Analysis, and Chromatography.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
- Associate degree in related discipline and one-year related experience; Or, High School and two (2) years of related experience with relevant certification.
- Candidate should have experience working with basic computer programs.
- Candidate should have experience working in a lab.
- Must agree to participate in a random drug screen program.
- Must meet requirements for explosive certification program.
- Candidate must be able to possess a Secret clearance.
- US Citizenship required.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Previous experience in general lab hygiene and techniques.
- Work well with team and independently.
- General lab functions, inventory, cleanliness etc.
- Ability to train further working with senior chemists/engineers.
