SAIC has an immediate opening for a System Administrator - Enterprise Email to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - This critical position is located at the SOCOM Headquarters on MacDill, AFB FL.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. 

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Email Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct Tier I–II technical support for the full lifecycle of IT services, including devices, applications, connectivity, and end-user environments.  Deliver remote technical support for SOCOM personnel during CONUS and OCONUS travel, including real-time troubleshooting of devices, connectivity, and access issues.  Apply advanced multi-domain IT troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, mobility, network connectivity, and user experience issues.  Enterprise Email Systems Administrators work closely with other IT teams and service providers to ensure seamless integration and support.

Deliverable Requirements:

  • Administer and operate highly available on-premises Microsoft Exchange environments, including Exchange servers, mail transport, mail flow, mailbox services, databases, Database Availability Groups (DAGs), and associated messaging infrastructure. 
  • Support hybrid Exchange environments integrating on-premises Exchange with Exchange Online, including connectors, hybrid mail flow, coexistence, synchronization, migrations, and troubleshooting issues spanning on-premises and cloud environments. 
  • Perform day-to-day administration and operational support of Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online, including tenant administration, mailbox management, licensing, migrations, configuration, service health, and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 services and capabilities. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the availability and health of Exchange, Microsoft 365, hybrid messaging services, Windows Server, and supporting infrastructure across multiple globally distributed and independent network environments. Monitor service health, advisories, incidents, planned maintenance, and internal monitoring tools for potential service impacts. 
  • Provide operational support at the appropriate tier based on the issue, often coordinating with vendors and supporting teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues that cross organizational or technical boundaries, including managing escalated cases through resolution. 
  • Perform system administration and maintenance activities, including Windows Server monitoring, operating system and application updates, security patches, configuration changes, server builds, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual infrastructure.  
  • Support continuity-of-operations and emergency response activities to maintain or restore critical services. 
  • Maintain operational records, system documentation, SOPs, runbooks, health-check procedures, troubleshooting information, and shift turnover information. Coordinate with engineering and infrastructure teams to identify recurring issues and improve service reliability. 
  • Monitor service health and operational status across supported environments, perform structured shift turnover, and communicate active incidents, system conditions, and maintenance activities to incoming personnel. 
  • Work independently during assigned shifts and take appropriate action to maintain or restore service availability within established procedures. 
  • Work a 24/7/365 rotating shift schedule covering days, swings, and mids, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Top Secret (TS) Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451  - System Administrator - Intermediate level or higher OR CompTIA Security+ Certification / IAT2

 

Required Years Of Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years with HS Diploma, 4 years with AS/AA degree, or 2 years with BS/BA degree
