The Chief of Staff to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is a high-impact, strategic leader who serves as a critical advisor and partner in achieving SAIC's growth objectives. This role drives alignment, accelerates decision-making, and ensures integrated execution of the company's growth strategy across the government, defense, and intelligence sectors. Acting as a seamless extension of the CGO, the Chief of Staff fosters collaboration, strengthens organizational capabilities, and enables transformational initiatives that position SAIC as an industry leader. 

Responsibilities 

  • Strategic Alignment & Execution:  Collaborate with the CGO to define and execute SAIC's growth strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and tracking progress against key outcomes. Partner closely with business development, capture, and proposal teams to drive organizational clarity and focus on growth. 

 

  • Executive Advisory & Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to the CGO, offering forward-looking insights, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations on high-stakes decisions involving investments, competitive opportunities, and market trends. 

 

  • Enterprise Integration & Governance:  Translate Growth priorities into cross-functional processes across enterprise functions (Finance, HR, Strategy, and Operations). Ensure collaboration, consistency, and alignment with key growth initiatives and governance frameworks. 

 

  • Decision Support & Market Intelligence:  Establish and maintain systems, dashboards, and review mechanisms that provide real-time insights into pipeline health, growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and execution performance of priority pursuits. 

 

  • Executive Communications: Develop high-impact executive-level presentations, board updates, internal messaging, and external engagement materials to advance SAIC's growth mission. Support CGO's external engagements with partners, customers, and stakeholders (e.g., government officials, congressional leaders).

 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong, collaborative relationships across SAIC's internal teams. Eliminate silos by ensuring open communication and unity of effort between Growth and other critical business units. 

 

  • Organizational Development: Support the CGO in evolving the Growth team's organizational design, talent strategy, and leadership infrastructure. Lead initiatives to enhance team performance, ensure workforce readiness, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. 

 

  • Project Leadership: Drive high-value strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects from concept to completion. Establish accountability, coordinate stakeholders, and manage successful outcomes on behalf of the CGO. 

 

  • Risk Identification & Management:  Develop structured frameworks and processes to identify and address cross-functional risks, organizational challenges, and systemic issues, enabling sustainable growth and operational excellence.

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement Leadership: Oversee planning, messaging, and follow-up around high-level external engagements to ensure impactful and aligned interactions with key stakeholders, customers, and partners. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years in strategic advisory, business development, organizational leadership, or related roles. 
  • Proven track record of enabling growth across business development, capture, or proposal management. 
  • Proven expertise in leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and promoting enterprise-wide alignment. 
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated success in delivering data-driven insights and measurable results. 
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with experience crafting high-level materials and messaging for executives, boards, and external stakeholders. 
  • Highly effective at influencing, collaborating, and driving alignment across diverse teams and leadership levels in matrixed organizations. 
  • Deep understanding of federal contracting, acquisition processes, and regulatory environments within government-focused markets.
