SAIC is seeking GEOINT Systems Engineer to support SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.
As the GEOINT Systems Engineer you will interact daily with senior government and Program staff to analyze new concepts and technologies; support the definition and baselining of new capabilities and/or enhancements; advise on all aspects of System Engineering analysis (architecture, requirements, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), interfaces, schedule, and dependency identification); test support, and provide Readiness Event support.
Responsibilities to include
- Collaborate daily with development contractors, government program personnel, and customers on systems engineering and acquisition functions for GEOINT collection, mission management, and mission processing.
- Provide oversight and monitor software development and integration activities, ensuring alignment with government requirements and objectives.
- Perform engineering and analysis to support the successful development and delivery of core mission processing services throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Maintain cognizance of GEOINT mission projects, including technical baselines, schedules, dependencies, risks, and costs.
- Advise senior and mid-level managers on architectural decisions, investment strategies, acquisition priorities, and project risk assessments.
- Conduct strategic planning for mission architecture (e.g., technical trade studies, future architecture definition, software service recommendations) and programmatic needs (e.g., budgeting, cost estimation, acquisition schedules).
- Assess performance, cost, schedule, and risk impacts on existing ground architecture implementations.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and review technical reports, design artifacts, and program plans.
- Coordinate program activities to align with strategic priorities and performance standards.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. (Additional years of exp in lieu of degree.)
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly
- Knowledge/ Experience of GEOINT systems, including space and ground architecture, mission control, and mission processing functions.
- Knowledge/ Experience in IC/DoD system acquisition, including roles, processes, and project/program management.
- Experience in developing or supporting the development of processing capabilities for GEOINT systems.
- Domain knowledge in ground software, space development programs, or mission operations.
- Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) programs.
- Self-motivated professional capable of executing tasks with minimal guidance.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and verbal / written communication skills, able to convey information across multiple customer and corporate audiences
