SAIC is seeking a talented mid-level GUI Developer with expertise in Qt to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ and Python programming, as well as experience in database design. Our new teammate will be able to work equally well in a team as on their own.  We want a team player that is eager to learn and ready for a challenge.  This is an on-site role at Eglin AFB.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop user-friendly graphical user interfaces using Qt framework
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ and Python code
• Implement database designs and integrate them with GUI applications
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software architecture discussions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing applications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Candidate must have a Secret clearance and be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret clearance
• 3 - 5 years of experience in GUI development using Qt framework
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Proficiency in database design and implementation
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
• Experience with cross-platform development (Windows, macOS, Linux)

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of QML for modern UI development
• Experience with multithreading and performance optimization
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Understanding of software testing practices
