We are seeking a mission-focused Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support NORAD-USNORTHCOM (N&NC) within the N&NC IT Enterprise Services (NITES) contract. ISSO candidate will play a critical role in ensuring cybersecurity compliance across the enterprise by implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, maintaining security posture, and managing system authorizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures.
- Apply RMF in accordance with DoD guidance and manage system lifecycles through eMASS.
- Implement and validate compliance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and ingest to eMASS
- Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities, including POA&M development, control implementation, and continuous monitoring.
- Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity personnel to evaluate system security posture.
- Document and maintain system security artifacts in accordance with NIST SP 800-53.
- Conduct periodic reviews and support audits and inspections
***This position requires regular on-site support at Peterson SFB***
- Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD 8570/8140 compliance for role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance, with SCI eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance in a DoD environment
- In-depth understanding of DoD RMF, STIGs, and NIST SP 800-53 controls
- Hands-on experience with eMASS for system ATO packages
- Familiarity with DISA compliance tools (e.g., STIG Viewer, SCAP, ACAS)
- Foundational-level IT or cybersecurity certification
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
