SAIC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Facilities Specialist / Project Analyst to join our growing team. In this dual-function role, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of our Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) supported facilities while assisting in the planning, coordination, and tracking of all Senior Leader Communications System (SLCS) facility related projects.
The U.S. Marine Corps Executive Communications Program and Senior Leader Communications System (SLCS) is the technical executive arm of the Presidential Policy Directive 40 requirements supporting Marine Corps and Naval Senior Leaders. This work and associated efforts facilitate capabilities that keeps those designated individuals engaged with C5ISR capabilities to keep the nation ready for the next challenge. Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Support
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and assets of all SLCS HQMC supported locations
- Serve as a point of contact for facility service requests and work orders
- Support vendor and contractor coordination, scheduling, and oversight
- Conduct routine facility walkthroughs and document findings
Assist with space planning, moves, and office reconfigurations
Project Analysis & Coordination
- Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and executing facilities projects
- Track project milestones, budgets, timelines, and deliverables
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and status updates
- Assist in gathering and analyzing data to support decision-making
- Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items
- Help identify project risks and escalate issues as needed
- Utilize project management tools to monitor progress and report on KPIs
Qualifications
Required education and experience:
- BS + 0–2 years of experience in facilities, operations, project coordination, or a related field
- Internship or co-op experience in a facilities or project environment is a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic understanding of facilities operations, building systems, or construction is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans or blueprints is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
