SAIC is seeking a Junior Software Engineer that is passionate about application and mobile development. They will be working with our team of talented engineers to design, build and deploy next generation applications for the United States Army and Marine Corps, in Huntsville, Alabama. 

The Junior Software Engineer will be Responsible for the Following:

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle and contribute to team goals in a collaborative environment.
• Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team documentation.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices.
• Support the integration of software components and third-party tools.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and zero (0) years experience; Additional six (6) years experience can be accepted in lieu of degree.

Clearance Requirements:

Must be able to obtain or maintain an active Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly.
