SAIC is looking for a Logistics Associate to support CAC2S in Bedford, IN. This position will need someone who is highly motivated with the ability to work individually and with small teams.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS).
- Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements.
- May also plan, schedule, and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
- Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
- Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes.
- Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation, and logistics plans.
- Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision.
- Support receiving equipment, materials or similar assets, scheduling required maintenance, monitoring the maintenance and return of assets to the appropriate activity using current shipping standards, Form DD1149, Form DD1348s, Shop Workload Management System.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree and 0+ years of experience; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience. Additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; not needed to start.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Experience with researching parts for procurement using drawings, assembly instructions, and excel documents to find the best price and lead time available for products for government systems.
- Proficient with computers and experience in Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook.
- Experience with Excel spreadsheets and inventory tracking.
- Must possess good oral and written communications skills.
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task supporting multiple customers both internal and external.
- Must be able to lift, up to 25 lbs.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
DESIRED
- Basic understanding of DD1149s and DD1348s.
- Basic understanding of ERP and IPDM
