SAIC is currently hiring for a Logistics Support in Indianapolis, IN. This position is full time and in person.
Job Duties:
· Researching and identifying potential suppliers, assessing their quality, reliability, and pricing.
· Preparing and processing purchase orders, requisitions, bids, and allocating bank statements.
· Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.
· Generate and maintain reports on material status, inventory levels, and production records This includes compiling weekly status reports and ensuring compliance with procurement requirements.
· Oversee receiving, and distribution of materials to ensure that production processes run smoothly.
· Work closely with various departments, including production, logistics, and engineering to coordinate the efficient flow of materials and ensure that all departments have the necessary resources.
· Prepare and manage shipping schedules, evaluate production schedules, and determine material requirements to ensure availability.
· Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- High school degree with five (5) years of experience.
- Procurement or accounting experience required.
- Excellent communications skills; Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office experience.
Materials management, Customer focused, Cash handling, Shipping/Receiving
Required Security Clearance:
No security clearance is required but must be able to pass a background screen.
US Citizenship required.
