Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented mid-level MQ Administrator to join our team in Ashburn, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career.
Job Responsibilities:
- IBM MQ queue manager administration, trouble shooting, configuration and on call support as needed.
- Installation, configuration, and administration of IBM MQ queue managers on distributed platform.
- You will provide on call support as needed to diagnose and rectify issue related to queue managers.
- You will also be responsible for clearly document requirements, design, and operation procedures for queue managers.
- Need experience with ActiveMQ Classic/Artemis with administration, trouble shooting, configuration etc.(A Plus)
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- BS Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc) with 5+ years of technical experience
- Strong foundation of MQ knowledge.
- Must have expert knowledge of IBM MQ on distributed platforms.
- Must have skills in diagnosing issues related to IBM MQ queue managers.
- Strong background with Apache ActiveMQ.
- Must have good knowledge of UNIX operating system and scripting languages (bash/korn shell, expect).
- Knowledge of Java and JMS and REST interface is preferred.
Customer Requirements:
- Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation
- Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen
- Location – Telework with on-site (Kingstowne, VA and/or Ashburn, VA) visits if a mission need. All candidates must be within the GWA/commutable area. This team also has an on-call rotation which includes carrying the duty phone.
