SAIC, a leading provider of systems engineering & integration, systems development & deployment, intelligence analysis and targeting, and training solutions for the Intelligence Community, is seeking creative and dedicated professionals to fulfill their career goals and objectives while delivering mission excellence on programs of national importance. 

SAIC is seeking Network Engineers to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS.

 

The ideal candidate will be located in the National Capital Region.

 

Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by fall 2025.

The Network Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide optimization solutions to maintain network integrity.
  • Implement and configure robust network solutions to ensure secure and efficient data ingestion, extraction, and flow across systems.

  • Implement network security measures, adhering to organizational standards and compliance regulations to protect sensitive data and coordinate with security teams to regularly assess the network for vulnerabilities and perform necessary updates or patches.

  • Participate in the selection and deployment of network management tools to automate network provisioning, configuration, and maintenance tasks.

  • Resolve complex network problems, operate network analyzers, WAN test equipment, and network simulators.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Experience maintaining a high-performance network infrastructure that supports data-heavy analytic and software applications.

  • Proficiency with modern networking technologies including SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, and cloud networking services.

  • Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, end points, etc.

  • Experience with network security practices including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.

  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.

  • Bachelors and 9+ years of experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Cisco certification (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE).

  • IAT certification.

  • Knowledge of IT service management best practices and frameworks such as ITIL.

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies.


Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
