SAIC has an immediate opening for a Desktop PC Technician to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - This critical position is located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
We are seeking a Desktop/PC Technician to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct Tier I–II technical support for the lifecycle of services, hardware devices, multi-vendor applications, connectivity, and end-user environments. Deliver technical support for USSOCOM personnel, including real-time troubleshooting of end-user device hardware/software, connectivity, and access issues. Apply advanced troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software, network connectivity, and user experience issues. Desktop/PC Technicians work closely with other IT teams and service providers to ensure seamless operation and support of our IT infrastructure.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Troubleshooting and proactively resolving technical issues
- Responding to requests for technical support
- Providing recommendations for technical support
- Providing technical problem solving for customer support of database
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices and peripherals, such as printers
- Installing and configuring application and operating system software and upgrades
- Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues
- Removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machines
- Maintaining an inventory of installed software, managing software licensing, and creating policies and procedures for upgrades
- Working with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensuring that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule
- Analyzing and making recommendations for hardware and software standardization
- May be required to work after core duty hours of 0600-1800, holidays, and weekends
Qualifications
Required Years of Experience:
- High school diploma with minimum of 6 years experience; Associates degree with minimum of 4 years experience; Bachelors with minimum of 2 years experience.
Clearance Requirement:
- TS/SCI clearance
- US citizenship
Required Qualifications:
- DoDD 8570 01-M IAT II.
- At least 1 year of previous experience working as a PC Technician or Help Desk role.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- A positive customer service attitude.
Desired Qualifications:
- CompTIA Net+, A+ or higher-level IT Certifications.
- Previous experience with end-to-end IT support, including endpoints, connectivity, and collaboration technologies.
- Exceptional IT troubleshooting skills across multiple technology domains.
- Ability to excel, perform, work independently and be a proactive team player.
