SAIC is seeking a Principal Systems and Integration Engineer (SE&I) with experience in space, ground, and user system design and integration to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team onsite in El Segundo, California.
PNT SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the US Space Force. The SE&I Space Team provides engineering, technical analysis and subject matter expertise (SME) for the Global Positioning System (GPS) supporting the Space Systems Command (SSC). As a member of our PNT SE&I Team, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with Government personnel and systems engineers. Major duties of this position include:
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and systems integration support to ensure an optimal integrated GPS System design.
- Contribute to the overarching approach and processes for integrating, synchronizing, tracking and analyzing dependencies across programmatic and organizational boundaries.
- Develop engineering and data models and populate them with up-to-date information to enable automated integration analyses.
- Provide technical support for test activities that characterize system performance.
- Perform and present data analysis that drive decisions on government programs.
- Support GPS Enterprise Risk & Opportunities management.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Master's degree and twelve (12) years of experience; PhD of JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience working across space, ground, and user segment organizations to coordinate and identify system requirements and key performance parameters to ensure end-to-end mission performance requirements are met.
- Experience with system architecture development.
- Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, specifically attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work well in multi-team setting, and willing to take on additional technical and administrative tasks/duties as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Space vehicle as well as other GPS related experience.
- Experience and familiarity working with DoD acquisition organizations.
