SAIC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Principal System Security Engineer (SSE) to support the United States Air Force's acquisition of the Sentinel weapon system, the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

The selected individual will take on the role of Program Protection (P2) Project Manager, providing technical expertise in program protection efforts. They will be a pivotal member of the P2 team, contributing to daily responsibilities, and collaborating with leadership to set priorities, foster relationships, achieve business goals, and deliver exceptional support to our customers.

Primary Duties:

  • Serve as the P2 technical advisor and consultant to the government P2 Program Manager (PM), offering training and oversight for P2-related activities.
  • Develop, review, manage, and ensure compliance with the P2 Plan, Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Anti-Tamper Plan, Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Plan, Counter-Intelligence Plan, and other applicable documents.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies to enhance productivity and reduce overall contract costs for the government.
  • Communicate effectively daily with stakeholders to identify and resolve problems and challenges.
  • Organize and oversee technical performance on the contract, ensuring the delivery of required deliverables.
  • Occasionally travel (<=10%) to meet job requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or Engineering with 9+ years of experience in direct program management; or a Master's degree + 8 years of experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD, Air Force policies, and processes.
  • Outstanding analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, interacting effectively with DoD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Solid understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Advanced knowledge of/experience with Security Classification, microelectronics, Nuclear Surety, Cybersecurity, System Safety, and System-Theoretic Process Analysis for Security (STPA-Sec).
  • Experience with Air Force nuclear weapon systems, particularly ICBMs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing external customer relationships and communicating Program Protection concepts and requirements with senior leaders.
